About Our Advocacy Committee

The Advocacy Committee is LMBA’s voice for Louisiana’s mortgage industry at the national level. Serving as the state’s connection to the National MBA’s State and Locals network, this committee monitors legislative developments, tracks key issues in Washington, D.C., and ensures Louisiana is informed and ready to take action. Led by the Committee Chair, the team communicates important updates to LMBA members, coordinates advocacy efforts, and drives industry involvement—especially during legislative sessions and election cycles.

The Mortgage Action Alliance, Inc.® (MAA) is a voluntary, non-partisan and free nationwide grassroots lobbying network for real estate finance industry professionals, affiliated with the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). We are dedicated to strengthening the industry’s voice and lobbying power in Washington, DC and state capitals across America.
