The 2025 LMBA Annual Conference Was One for the Books!
What an incredible experience! The 2025 LMBA Annual Conference brought together mortgage professionals from across Louisiana and beyond to learn, celebrate, and push our industry forward. Here’s a look back at everything we accomplished together:
Honoring Service
We began by recognizing Sandy Whitehead and Liz Peri for their years of dedication and service to LMBA. Their leadership and contributions have helped shape the foundation we stand on today.
Setting the Stage
Our President, Ashley Logan, kicked things off with a powerful message about LMBA’s rebrand—explaining why it was time to evolve our identity and how this new chapter reflects the future of our association. She reminded us that together, we are stronger—and that LMBA’s strength comes from the collective voices, ideas, and passion of its members working side by side
Big Ideas from Dustin Owen
Keynote speaker Dustin Owen inspired us all to dream bigger, act boldly, and trust our instincts. His message was clear: if you have an idea, don’t wait—just do it.
Perspectives from Our Local Leaders
The Executive Panel delivered raw and honest insight into what leaders are truly thinking as the industry works to move beyond some of the most challenging years we’ve faced. It was refreshing to see them together on stage, sharing one unified message.
Industry Wisdom
Tom Morelli and Dion Hall shared how AI can take what often feels complex and intimidating and make it practical for everyday use. They emphasized that AI doesn’t have to be scary—anyone can leverage it to simplify tasks and increase efficiency, whether they realize it applies to them or not.
Insurance in Louisiana
Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple delivered a candid update on his efforts to reform insurance in our state, a topic impacting homeowners and our industry alike. His vision for stabilizing the market and creating more opportunities for affordability gave attendees a clear look at the progress being made—and the work still ahead.
